  1. Now this is what I'm talking aboubt, let Jake bootleg, let Jake roll out, hell let Jake throw the ball Shanahan. Why has Mike insisted on limiting what he will or will not allow Jake to do this year? In years past, he has let the snake looose, but not this year, Mike LET PLUMMER PLAY!

  2. give cecil sapp the rock!

  3. Cecil Sapp? How about giving Mike Bell the rock! Or even giving the snake the rock, hey he ran better on Sunday then Tatum Bell has all year!

  4. Shanahan the control freak saw what happened when he lets Jake make plays, they put up points. Let him take shots downfield and make plays on his feet. Calling 5 yard routes to tight ends on 3rd down results in linebackers picking him off because they know enough to swarm the short routes mid-field. Now he's finally developed a good repoir with Javon Walker and this needs to be used in Pittsburgh to exploit the weaknesses in Pitt's defense, their corners. Let Jake throw sideline bombs on outside routes using 3 and 4 wide reciever sets to take Polamalu away from Javon and Rod Smith and it allows them to beat Ike Taylor and the other guy one on one, especially the taller Walker. Short routes against Pitt's linebacking corps, which is second only to Denver's are a recipe for disaster, with a strong arm QB like Jake, making him throw exclusive short routes is like telling Eddie Van Halen to only play acoustic.

  5. Shanahan a control freak!!! Gotta love that! Couldn't agree more.

  6. I Love Jake and I hope he will be our QB forever!

  7. Jake was great and has been great and he'll be at his greatest this postseason. Jake runs the offense better than anybody and I know you all out there should understand that the Denver offense is not simplistic. Cutler is not ready for Shanahan's playbook, Jake has been mastering the playbook of Mike Shanahan for the last 3 seasons and now he's in understanding of what this offense entails and where the focus is. The focus you ask and you should already know is our running game and our zone blocking scheme and know one runs and knows the offense from a Quarterback perspective than Jake Plummer. I'm happy with his performance up to his point and I know he can improve and he will. Jake guided the offense to 31 points against a good Colt defense, 1 or 2 stops on D and we are 6-1! BTW how about that Mike Bell and that Cecil Sapp, just awesome, scary what we have in the running game again. Let's get it going this weekend. Go Broncos!

  8. Plummer is my boy! GO BRONCOS!! - Broncoholic_JS16

  9. Shanahan has shown an ability to learn from his mistakes...and one of his biggest mistakes was benching Bubby in favor of Brian. So...unless we somewho fall out of contention for the playoffs (not just for the division), we won't see Cutler this year. Arlington VA Broncfan

  10. Jake is doing the best he can with what he has. Remember who took them to the AFC Championship, that's right Jake. We lost the Colts game due to the fact we let Manning have the ball at the last. The defense could not stop anyone. I think Jake needs to run the ball more. A scrambling QB is hard on a Defense. Look how Elway did scrambling with the ball. Need to see more "snake" let him run what he feels comfortable doing!

11.     jake plummer is one of my good friends so screw anyone that likes cutler

12.      JAKE HAS BEEN THE MAN....

13.      Plummer got da Broncos to the playoffs last year. I think he can do it again.

14.     Cutler may be the LONG TERM future of the team, but Plummer is playing great. Besides the more we let Culter ease into the pros the better he will be. Keep Plummer in!

15.      jake is cuter

16.       I still say GO Jake GO!!! :)

17.       Jake will reign supreme!!! How can anyone say he's not a great quarterback for the fact that everytime he rolls out of the pocket he makes huge plays?? KEEP PLUMMER IN!!! ROCK ON JAKE!!!

18.      I have been behind Jake Plummer even when he was in Arizona. I grew up in Denver. I was and I still am the Denver Broncos # 1 fan. I lived in Denver and then i moved to Arizona because of my dads job. When i lived in Arizona i was crazy over Jake Plummer. And I was the Denver Broncos fan. I started to love Jake Plummer and the things he can do out on the field. Then my dad moved me and my famliy back to Denver. and as soon as we moved back Jake Plummer came to Denver it was amazing. My # 1 quarterback behind John Elway is comeing to Denver. It was amazing. And now i have supported Jake Plummer all the way. Everything he dous on the field like throwing on the run i can do the same thing. He is the best and always will be. Me and Jake have alot in commin. Like when i started my football season i new i was the starting quarterback and when things started out slow i didnt panick and im like im going threw what jake is going threw. well i won the starting job and jake has to. I take alot of crap from people because im a plummer fan but i dont care what they think. Jake your doing great. take us to the super bowl. Jake if you get this my number is (edited by LPP staff) I now live in buffalo NY.pleas call. my name is matt mackintosh. well you can call me denver because everyone else douse

19.      JAKE THE SNAKE!!!!

20.      Cutler is the future of the team, but for now we have to put our faith in Plummer. He's gotten us to the playoffs for three years running, and is immediatly shot down if he makes one mistake. Give the guy a break! Other QBs throw mor INTs than him.

21.      Jake is sooooo good, he will get it done in the end darn near everytime.

22.      Jake has sucked ever since he has played pro ball, the only thing that has saved him is the Denver d-fence (We post them all, EVEN THE absolute insane comments like this one...i'm sure its just another bitter Cutler college buddy that said this.)

23.     I voted for Jay - 10 times - your poll is flawed (THANKS A LOT YOU CHEATER!)

24.     Jake certainly is the better QB at this point, however, we need to look forward as a franchise and start developing our younger talent (Cutler). I see a possibility of playoffs this year, but don't see the reality of making anything worthwile of it. In that light, I'd like to see more playing time with Cutler and start his progression into a starting QB. We are gonna need him in a year or two.

25.     I think he is a great quarterback, look what he has done for the Broncos.  I don't even know Cutler, but given time I am sure everyone will.  But for now, I say let Jake play ball the best way he knows how.  Lots of love for Jake!!!!!!!!!!Upgrade your email with 1000's of emoticon icons
I am one of his biggest fans.

26.      I just love eggs.  Every day i open up my refrigerator, get out several eggs and grill them up old school sunny side up style.  I would never put ketchup on an egg!!!  That's just proposterous.  Now this is my reasoning on why we should LET BUBBY BRISTER PLAY!!! (HEY we must say this, if Shanahan had let BRISTER play instead of starting that good for NOTHING BRIAN GRIESE we may have gotten somewhere in 2000-2002!!!!! So we're all with you on this one buddy!)

27.      are you smoking crack? or are you Jake's mommy (Oh we LOVED this comment, nope we're not smoking crack and unfortunately we're not Jakes mommy!)

28.       I concur. He's had some bad games but Payton also had a pretty shitty game against the Bills. you shouldn't be saying that the defense should shut up (we did not say this, we said, Sunday against SD and LT its time to put up or shut up, the defense has not been AS great as people say, remember the OFFENSE still has to score more than the other team and we have done that 7 out of 9 times) due to the fact that we wouldn't be near where we are without them. Are defense is the shiet. Plummer is struggling but you gotta have faith. He'll pull through. GO BRONCS!

29.     Jake sucks. He's bottle-necking this offense. Jake didn't win that game, the Raiders lost it when they gave to ball to us twice in the last three minutes. (Now this is just MEAN spirited and evil! JAKE RULES!)

30.      YES!!!  Someone else GETS it!
I love the site, well, let me rephrase that---I love the only parts of the site that I've seen so far, the FAQ and the frontpage.  FAQ was well written and entertaining, I agree with everything surprisingly, especially the LT thing.  The homepage mock-Madden with plummer was great too.
The only change I would make is that if I were gay, I think I would prefer the Jesus-Jake to Pornstache-Plummer or the Shaven-Snake.  You've got to love aliteration.
I'm referring more people to the site, keep it Golden man. (We will try to keep it golden just like Pony Boy, thanks for stopping by!)

31.       Hey my name is angelo and I live in alameda california and I am a big Denver Broncos as well as Jake Plummer fan. I love his ability to throw on the run, and escape the pocket when he needs to. I believe he is a combination of michael vick with his escape ability and brett favre with his big arm. I was born in denver and my uncle owns a mexican restaraunt in Denver, and Jake Plummer was there with his girlfriend, and my uncle go to meet him and got his signature!! I wish I was there!!  I hope the broncs shove the chargers bolts right up their ass!!!  GO BRONCOS GO JAKE!!! P.S. Jakes starting this week on my fantasy team... =)

32.     All I can say is that Jake Plummer is Mr. INCONSISTENT! What the hell is up with throwing 3 (actually 4) picks against the frickin Raiders? If he keeps playing the way he does our season is going to end up just like it did last year. After this year I hope Shanahan wises up and ships his ass back to Arizona. (Although it has not been confirmed, we believe this comment came from Jay Cutler's second cousins best friend)

33.     Jake is Denvers QB and all the people who want to slam him, must really not support the team. I love Jake and I hope he plays for us for a long time.

34.    You guys are so right and whoever does this web page, THANK YOU! It's time for people to start backing Jake! I don't think Jay was even good in college! (YOU ARE RIGHT, JAY was TERRIBLE in college.)

35.     Nice site. Jake reminds me of my QB hero, Koy Detmer (click the link). Both need a shave and a haircut, and both are underrated and ridiculed by haters. LATER SON.

36.    I will remain a Jake fan until he is no longer a quarterback at all. Scream it loud and proud Denver Fans-Go Jake, Baby, GO!!!!

37.     Jake is one of the best Qb's in the league. He is winning games for the Broncos. I believe Manning,Brady and all the rest of the QB's in the league are overrated. Jake is one of the most underrated Qb's in the league. Plummer has the complete package. Running, passing, and definately Leadership! Jay Cutler is straight out of college and If you think he is that good,#1 he played for some college that no one had ever heard of and #2 in the preseason he was playing against 2nd and 3rd team defenses!! So Im one of the Biggest Plummer Fans in the world, and Cutler will get his chance 3-4 years from now when Jake retires. GO BRONCOS!!!!

38.      jake is a winner, thats all it comes down to. Nobody will care what his numbers look like after he holds up the trophy this year. True Bronco fans know, bandwagon fans blow. Who could possibly want to throw a rookie QB in now. If you want to bad mouth a Broncos player, move to Oakland

39.   Why are all of you clamouring for a man who only does one thing consistantly, throw 20 picks a season.

Why are you all backing a guy whose average stat line is 50% complete, 175 yds, 1 TD, 2 turnovers?

If that is all we need from this offence, I have no doubts that Cutler could get out there and do it.

Quit telling me Jake is taking this team places, Jake is clearly along for the ride and the defense and running game are carrying this team.  Not to mention Javon Walker - possibly the BEST free agent acquisition of the year, if not the franchise.
(The only thing we will say about this, why do so many Jay Cutler fans spell it "DEFENCE and OFFENCE?)

40.     my name is rick, i was born lived in evergreen colorado and have always been a broncos fan, i moved to CT 8 years ago. people around here dont quite understand why i am such a jake plummer supporter but i always explaine to them that he is not the best, but he will always give it his all to win. although in some cases it causes him to make mistakes he will never go down without a fight. this is a quality that he gathered trying to win games in arizona and i feel it is what makes him unique, he is my favorite football player and i hope they will let plummer play for a long time in denver!

41.     Jake Plummer wouldn't have had a winning record in the SEC playing for Vanderbilt!  Maybe for Florida, Georgia or Tennessee.  Football is a team sport.  However you need to realize that this is Jake's last year in Denver and Cutler is the future of the Denver Broncos.

42.     If Jake implodes against San Diego like he was about to do in Oakland, Thank God for Officials that blow Coaches Challenge calls... I say give the Cut the ball and see what the future holds. This team is young and good enough to stay strong  in the AFC west regardless of how Shanahan calls the offense. I cannot see another Rams, Steeler(playoff game) or recent Oakland performance again. I have backed Jake since he came here, but he may be losing me with a poor performance. Go Broncs!!! (Funny how he says, Go BRONCOS, like all the other Jake Haters do, they love their Broncos, it's just Jake they don't like? I love the Nuggets, but I hate Carmelo Anthony, is that coming next from these Jake haters?)

43.     are you serious? cutler wasnt even good in college?? oh wait, he was ONLY SEC player of the year, the toughest conference in all of college football (auburn, georgia, flordia, flordia state, lsu, ect ect). just because his team didnt have a winning record doesnt mean it was at all his fault. its vandy after all... the kid was great in college, he's got an amazing arm and pretty good mobility, and he WILL have a great pro career. that said, we shouldnt see him this year unless it gets to the point where jake is actually costing the broncos games, which he is not. its funny how quickly people forget the year he had last year. jake is a good qb, and should remain the broncos starter for the rest of the year. as i side note, i also would like to see cecil sapp get the ball more. it seems like everytime i see him with the ball hes running some sorry ass over. give him the ball! (ARE YOU SERIOUS? Have you ever heard of the PAC-10!!!! You know the one with USC, Stanford, Cal, UCLA...Hmmmmm....)

44.      Your site sucks. Now I understand your appreciation for jake, as your judgement and site both suck. for a real site, check out jakethemistake.com (Unconfirmed, but we believe Cutler may be running jakethemistake.com from his SideKick II)

45.    I've been a LONG time supporter of Jake! But I just CANT take it anymore!!! DUDE, you've GOT to make those throws! STOP under throwing a GO route! How many more TD's would the Broncs have if he would lay them up there for Walker. C'mon Jake YOU GOTTA PICK IT UP!!! We're behind you still but dont know till when!

46.   the rookie will have his day. More time on the sideline LEARNING will better serve the Broncos in the future. One note for this weekend "remember Jake...we are the guys in DARK blue...play smart"

47.  Everyone just has to have faith in Jake.  He is our man, and until the powers that be say different...if you are a true Bronco fan, then shut the hell up and cheer for my boy!  He can get the job done and we love him!! :)

48.   wow, well you confirmed my initial thoughts that yes you are indeed an idiot. the pac 10?? HA HA. yeah they got usc, but thats it. whens the last time stanford was any good?? do yourself a favor and go check out the CURRENT BCS ratings and see just how the pac 10 stacks up against the sec. trying to counter teams like georgia, auburn, lsu, and flordia with teams like cal and stanford - you should be a comedian man (It's a good thing we're not sensitive, or these Jay fans would really be hurting our feelings right about now.)

49.   uhhh jake is not a winner...the rest of the broncos are winners and he is just along for the ride...his teammates even have turned their back on him... Javon walker was being interviewed and he said that jake plummer was a great person. then the reporter asked him what he thought of jake as a quarterback. JAvon walker was just silent. HE DIDNT RESPOND TO THE QUESTION. so dont tell me jake is a good quarterback. he is WAY TOO INCONSISTENT. dont get me wrong when hes good jake, he is a great qb but its whe he is bad jake that kills his team. starting cutler right ow is not a good decision but dont be tellin me jake is a top qb. HES NOT GOOD. GOOD QUARTERBACKS DONT THROW DUMB INTERCEPTIONS.

50.   You assholes are defending this joke of a QB that cant tie his own damn shoe. Cutler is the real QB not tempt to hire like "The Mistake"  (How fitting, our 50th comment includes a Jay fan calling us assholes, OUCH!)

51.    You claim that it is our Defense that cannot keep up with other teams yet i think you have not been watching the games. In todays game against San Diego our Defense put up more points then jake plummer. It is plummer that cannot compare to other teams, but in todays game plummer completed 46% of his passes for a measley 180 yards, 0 TD's and 1 Int( He also fumbled on the last play of the game) where as Rivers ( a first year starter..interesting) completed  73% of his passes for 220 yards, 2TDs and 2 INT's (it should be noted that it was the denver defense that made these plays unlike the chargers D who had their INT gift Wrapped from plummer himself....)You will agrue that our D gave um 5 Tds but this was agaisnt a highly skilled offense(mainly RB) that put up 49(?) against cincinnati last week, we need our offense to be there to help. We have the players, Walker and Smith. We have the allways consistent offensive line. We are only missing consistency in one position...quart!
 erback. PUT IN CUTLER.

52.    Just a thought, but the site has definitely taken a turn to being "overly defensive".  While I maintain that we should LET PLUMMER PLAY, I don't see how disparaging remarks about Cutler and/or our defense are related to the fact that Plummer should be playing.  Putting down the fact that Cutler lost a lot in college has almost nothing to do with Jake not playing;  he played for Vanderbilt, any game he won was a big achievement.  The defense isn't supposed to shut down teams like it was lucky enough to do in the first quarter of the season; it's built to keep us even with teams and allow our offense to dominate.  Somehow it worked out in the first 5 or so games that the Broncos were able to shut down opponents, and we fans started to think that would be the norm.  It won't be, nor is it supposed to be.  The offense needs to kick it up a few notches, a dropped pass here, a fumble there, and of course, an interception every now and then.  Jake's doing his part to win; unfortuna!
tely sometimes he does enough to lose as well.  Either way, he's the man, and he'll do his best to not allow those mistakes to reoccur.

53.   Mike Shanahan is a dickhead. On 4th & 4 with three minutes left he goes for it? And worse yet he doesn't design an actual play, he bets on a hard count as if the defense will automatically jump offsides.

Jake has no choice but to throw the ball out there, it winds up a pick, but for the idiots who say he should have taken a sack, it wound up in a better spot than if he'd have took the sack assholes!

Combine this with the fact that the defense got stomped by Tomlinson and Rivers, who scored at will, and that Shanahan called no bootlegs or rollouts for Jake, where he's at his best.

Shanahan doesn't allow his team to play to win anymore, he makes them play not to lose, and we see how well that worked out tonight didn't we. What an assclown. I can't wait till Jake goes somewhere else so he doesn't have to deal with that asshole Shanahan anymore.

54.     To: Whom it ma concern

Thank you for this website.  I am a Denver Broncos fan who currently resides in South Carolina, so all I hear about it Panthers football.  I am also a big Plummer fan and have been since his Cardinals days.  I have to log on to get any info on my 'Cos.  That being said, it seems every blog I find is calling for the resignation of Plummer, Shanahan or both.  Apparently some people can't stand to see the memory of John Elway be challenged.  I've got to know, what was Elway's record in his first four years with the Broncos? 44-20.  What was Jake's? He's 40-18 with 6 games left.  Sounds pretty close doesn't it?  He inherited a legacy of one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, and he's matching the numbers.  We waited from 1983-1997 for a Super Bowl victory from Elway, let's give Jake a chance.  He's already gotten us to the AFC championship game.  I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I had to get this off of my chest, and here seems lke the only pro-Plummer forum.  Thank!
 s again

55.   Like I've said, I like Plummer, he is from Boise where I live but as a Broncos fan, he is too inconsistent in the pocket. He throws better than anybody on the run, but I would rather have someone consistent in the pocket so if our running game isn't working we still have a chance to win.

56.     Now I know your smoking crack. You analize football almost as good as Alfred Williams. Trade for randy Moss??? The Broncos have a great group of recievers. Kirrcus and Marshall will be great for years to come. Jake cannot get them the ball. have you seen him throw? He can't!! The broncos running game was excellent yesterday! The Bells will be fine. I do however agree with your Shanahan thoughts.

57.     this site is hilarious and even if Jake isn't that good anymore denver finally has a bad running game and the defense hasn't been the same since indy roughed them up. maybe its time to play cutler if only because even tom brady couldn't put this bronco team in the super bowl.

58.      I was supporting Plummer all season long, but I think his time has come. I'm sure Shanny won't make the switch, but I think we'd be better off if we did. And I don't think we should throw Cutler into Arrowhead on Thanksgiving either. we should probably let him start the game against AZ and maybe SF too. just my thoughts.

59.     Plummer fricking sucks!!! Another week another game with at least one or more turnovers by him. There's no way in hell the Broncos are going anywhere with that bum for a quarterback!

60.    The Shanahan talk could be some of the DUMBEST thoughts I have ever heard. No other NFL coach is even on his level. All other teams are just product of great players. Broncos are only team with no "Hall of Fame" player, with the exception of champ which we traded for an overrated RB that ended up being a bust. With out Shanahan Broncos are 0-10 (Shanahan has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING since Elway left, NOTHING and you say "No other coach on his level"...have you ever heard of a guy named Bill Belichick, you know the guy who won 3 superbowls since the Elway era ended? Now, the Cutler fans are on crack making statements about Shanahan being the best coach in the NFL!)

61.    jake plummer is a savage he is 10 times better than jay cutlers ass u can reach me on myspace.com(wstb4l_70@yahoo.com)

62.    Its time to let tbe rookie in..... yea i can't believe i am saying it but after sundays game i came to my senses and i know now that jake plummer is not going to get the broncos to any super bowl i think its better to let the rookie get some playing time in this season and who knows he could get us to the playoffs and from there its a new season! But as for Plummer his time in Denver is D-O-N (done).

63.   Dearest (and obviously confused) Webmaster,

Fire Shannahan?  That's just stupid.  Mike is good for 10-6 every year, and maybe with a little more consistancy at the QB position (like Jakes year in '05)we can get where we need to go.  If not for Jakes mass turnover spree in the AFC championship game, it would have been the Broncos ripping Seattle apart.

As for your quote of:

"FIRE SHANAHAN.  Now, hold on before you get your nuts in a bunch.  I’m not calling for his head right this minute because of the Chargers loss.  I’m just being reasonable.  Shanahan just seems to have lost his edge as far as Denver goes.  The “anyone can do it” running game doesn’t work anymore, whether it’s because the league has finally figured out Denver’s schemes or simply because even Reuben Droughns and Olandis Gary were better than--Tatum Bell and Mike Bell"

Your numbers are all wrong!  Those "can't get it done" RB's are fueling the 3rd best rushing team in the NFL.

Jake IS the weak link on this offense, no doubt about it.  Just think of what we could be doing with a QB that completed 55%-65% of his passes as opposed to 45%-55%.  there is NO reason why Javon Walker shouldn't have 9 catches a game.  Jake CAN'T get him the ball.

You will al bear witness to Jake Plummers LAST start in a Bronco uniform on Thanksgiving.  Let's face it.  We don't win in Arrowhead.  With consecutive losses to division rivals, we will have dropped from 1st to 3rd in the standings.  Hasta La Vista Jake.

VIVA JAY CUTLER!

64.    Ok...your last post was on the money....jake sucked
last game but it aint only him. Im a plummer fan but
for once, I was dissapointed.

here's my solution:

1.)not fire shanahan....
2.)trade jake
3.)trade cutler for a high defensive line draft pick
or two known quality defensive lineman.
4.)trade for Byron Leftwich. He can run, pass, and
able to play hurt. Hr's the definition of a
  warrior .
5.) In jacksonville everyone hates so he would be
used to be hated on in denver. Face it, if it aint
  Elway, these fans dont care.

65.     i don't really care either way but it wouldn't be dumb to fire shanahan. he's gotten the team close but failed to go all the way every year since elway retired whether his qb was bubby brister, brian griese, or jake plummer. maybe he has those 2 rings but lots of good coaches get fired for only being able to take their teams to a certain level and no further after 8 years. and bill belichek is a better coach than shanahan by far. shanahan had elway, shannon sharpe, terrell davis, john lynch, steve atwater, bill romanowski, and rod smith. belichek had good players but no superstars until brady became a superstar after the patriots won. if you "except" champ then your "no hall of famers" arguments is over since champ is only the best at his position in the entire league and also rod smith is borderline hof.

66.   I think that Jay Cutler sucks balls and that Jake sould stay a starter. Also, Mike Shannahan sould act to jake like he did to Elway. Plummer sould keep starting.

67.    Im probably the biggest supporter of Jake Plummer since his ASU days.  Bill Walsh former 49 coach called him the closest thing he ever saw to Joe Montana.  And I can explain exactly why he isnt the player he used to be.

If anyone were to see some old ASU footage they would see the most impossible quarterback to sack that ever existed.  And I mean ever but while he was allowed to be creative with his feet by my favorite ASU coach ever Bruce Snyder no coach in the pros has ever used his feet as a weapon.
For example he is the best ranked passer out of the pocket over the past couple of years but yet they keep him between the tackles ...which they should traditionally but not with the snake.  You were asked on your faq board why the snake for his nickname....its not because it rhymes its because he was the most elusive quarterback in college football history his senior year.  Remember that although he did not win the heisman that year he did win the peoples poll by a landslide...thats right the people that got to see him play all voted him the heisman winner.
If Jake Plummer even visits this site I would like him to know one thing....I was born and raised a cowboy fan and an ASU fan.  When I saw you take ASU on your back that year with unreal wins against usc and ucla and an outright thrashing of u of a...wow and then to come within seconds of a national championship...I told myself whoever drafted you I would become that teams fan.  So living in AZ it was awesome we drafted you....and you were Joe Montana for a year but then you signed that big money contract and you and the coaching staff felt you couldnt afford to run anymore.  That's like Jordan not dunking....thats magic being a ballhog.  You either sold out to your money or the coaches are fools...
Now all through this I try to tell myself that any NFL quarterback that runs all the time is gonna get killed.  And its very true...but Ive always felt that Jake was fearless and as unfortunate as I know it sounds unless you play full out and run your not putting any stress on the defense.  I believe you could and should average 50 yards rushing a game.  The only other qb I would expect that from would be Michael Vick.  Unless you put the ultimate stress on the defense you will never be 1/2 the player you should be.  I mean dont you think its sad that the best quarterbacking youve ever done was your senior year at ASU...not because the defenses are better....its because you only use your arms....not your legs....youre only giving it 80% you owe it to no one but yourself to give it 100% for the sake of your career.  jesse jamison

68.   Yeah. Shanahan is a bad ass coach. Dumb ass! Plummer sucks too. How can you still be defending that mistake? LOSER!

69.   Oh my freaking lord! PLEASE tell me this is a farce. Fire Shanahan and let Plummer play?? LMFAO!!

70.   uhh... mortal kombat is the pwnage (Is that you again Jay?)

71.    How could you turn your back on Plummer?! He has such a strong case with his winning percentage. Give me a break! I'm tired of looking like an idiot backing that clown. Throw some freakin touchdown passes and hang on to the ball you fool! Cutler could not be any worse than Plummer so the web site we should be at is "Letcutlerplay.com" All you fools ranking on Shanahan have no souls and no common sense! He may have never won a Super Bowl without John (hands down the best football player not just QB of all time) but John never won one without him!

72.    Why is it Plummer is getting slaughtered in the media for his performances!?!?!? What about Big Ben every time i see the steelers this guy is sucking beyond belief!! Michael Vick is another 1 that has done nothing all season! Neither team has a winning record! But neither team's fans or management are screaming for their QB's to be benched! But Jake has us 7 & 4 and still in with a playoff shot so i say cut the guy some slack! LET PLUMMER PLAY!!!!

73.     Hello,
I am so glad that there are still some Jake fans out there. It seems like all over Denver, and all the websites, everyone is discarding Jake and loving Cutler. This really ticks me off, because Jake gets the team to the AFC championship game last year, and his team isn't performing this year, and people blame the whole thing on Plummer. No matter what the cause of the loss, Jake gets the blame. The thing is, Denver fans don't like Jake. Plain and simple. Nothing is ever good enough for Denver fans. The funny thing is, they sure did support Elway. Don't get me wrong, he was a great QB, but he had a dream team. Jake doesn't have any "sure hands" receivers that he can rely on. Don't get me started on the running game, and the OL. Jake is simply there right now to give everyone someone to throw the blame on. Like always. Even if the Broncos win, the fans don't support Jake.

I totally agree with everything on your site. Jake isn't the best quarterback in the league, but he is so fun to watch. The guy doesn't always make good choices, but that is what is so fun about watching him! He is a clutch QB, and it's Denver's loss if they choose to let Plummer go

74.   You idiots think Plummer is a good QB? Do you even watch his games? I havent laughed so hard in years. Thanks!!!

75.   Nice video, you should add some footage from Plummer's press conference after the KC game... it is sad.

76.     At 7-4 the season is NOT lost, but if Cutler is allowed to start, it will be. Remember, San Diego, Kansas City and every other team still has 5 games to play and anyone can beat anyone. I say, stick with Jake until (or when) there is no chance for the Broncos to make the playoffs.

77.    I think Jake the Snake is a kickass QB, We played against him in the Idaho State finals game. Wow what a amazing arm. I believe that Denver has been way to hard on him. He is Not Elway and they need to realize that. Look at last season, He kicked ass. He had some bad games this year but some good ones to. Let Cutler start one game to get all the BS out of the way. That way people can see what they are missing without "THE SNAKE". On that note. Go Broncos and I will always be watching Jake no matter where he goes.

78.   I dont quite understand this website..Are you guys all Arizona St. Fans..I dont understand why everyone is idolizing Jake like this...hes not that good..hes bad..Im a huge Denver fan and do blame Plummer for not putting up enough points. I agree with Shanahan for backing Plummer and giving him the start this year to lead the Broncos but I think its time to give Cutler a chance...I heard some arguements about how Cutler played for Vandy with no competition. Vanderbuilt is an SEC team whose schedule consists of teams like Florida, Arkansas, Tennesee, Georgia, Alabama, and LSU. Hes put of big numbers agaisnt the best college players in the nation with no one to protect him. Another arguement about Jay is the only reason he did good in the preseason was because of the weak defences they played...if thats the case Jay QB rating was significantly higher than Jakes Preseason rating...so if Jay sucks then what does that say about Plummer...look I like Plummer and respect him and all that good stuff and I know Cutler is just a rookie but i feel like its a really lucky thing that we even got a Jay Cutler calbur player in last years draft...I think its time we give him a chance...

79.    JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Don't leave us!

80.    We think you should compile a support page on your site of articles and websites that either support Plummer or at least agree that this was a poor decision or poor timing on the part of the Broncos.

Thank you for supporting Plummer and let's hope he moves on to better things!

81.    I think putting Jay Cutler in was the right thing to do, since our season's over anyway.  He might as well get the extra practice.  By the way, Joe Montana was benched in 1986 in favor of Steve Young, but was back as the starter for the Super Bowl.

82.   plummer caqn suck my bobble sack

83.    I think Jake Plummer is one of the best Quaterbacks out there over all. its not his fault of what his defense cant do. Cutler is not the Answer... Let Plummer play and you have a chance at the Super bowl look at what he is done in the Path. For all of you eagle fans who think you are a better team then your record indicates, here is a question for you. In NFL history who is the Quaterback that has beaten the Eagles the most...Times up Jake the Snake Plummer
84.    i don't think they should put Cutler in because Jake has done alot for the Broncos ever since they had Jake they had some good records. Last year he led the team to go to 13-3. This He is just having a bad year, every body has a bad year. PUT JAKE PLUMMER IN!!!

85.    I love the Snake more than anyone and yet, Jay has a cannon for an arm... really, have you ever seen him wear a t-shirt? no. cause he has to cover up his right arm which is a large metallic cannon. with that said, I love the snake. maybe he could convert to a WR or at the very least fake some feild goals with him out there holding. Keep the snake on the feild, but Jay is hero and soon everyone shall bear wittness to the fact.

86.      JAKE PLUMMER SUCKS BALLS. GO JAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

87.       Been a Jake fan for years. He is the ONLY reason I am even a Broncos fan. If he is truly benched, I must start rooting for a better team in the Cardinals as well as wherever Jake goes
88.     Im not a dever fan...im not a cutler fan...but as denver suddenly forgotten that plummer was arguabley the best quarterback in the league last year? That he led the broncos past the pats (defending champs) in the postseason last year?...come on every player has a slump...its up to coaches to make a player better...you dont treat a vet like this.

89.    I am as dedicated a Broncos fan as anyone, but after watching jake's performance the last 2 weeks how can we keep him in? The guy has no accuracy and with our awful running game this year were forced to throw on 3rd and long every series, where he is about 10% efficient. Plus we have a terrible punter and crap special teams so we always have bad field position.
90.     I am from Detroit and I was hoping on drafting Cutler this last year, I knew the second he was drafted by Denver it wouldn't be long befor he got the starting job...all Plummer fans will soon be Cutler fans...The Next Brett Farve!!!
91.    where is the part of the site that mentions how you want to be plummer's man-bitch? (Where on the site does it say that this site is run by the male species)
92.     I voted for Jay Cutler 48 times because he is at least three times the quarterback as #16 is. (hahhahah, ok this is the first Cutler fan that actually made us laugh, that was funny)

  1. 93.      Denver fans will soon experience REAL MEDIOCRITY! Follow MR EXCITEMENT, JAKE PLUMMER, TO THE BEST OF NFL EXCITING FOOTBALL. DENVER is now only 1/2 mile high. BYE BYE

94.      I just don't understand how anybody could make the lame brained move to swap Jake for Jay. If everybody was catching the balls that came their way, and Jake had time to make a play instead of running from tackles all the time I could understand, but this is just stupid.

95.       I think some of you dudes are voting for Jay more than once! I hope Jake knows that he has plenty of support and fans that are wishing that he were still the starter in Denver! Our running game is lacking and Jake is benched! Weird....

96.      IT'S CRYING TIME FOR THE BRONCOS. The end of a very good era!

97.     jake is the man!!!!!!! I'm from Pittsbutgh and no one can touch my beloved Steelers, but you are too good for Denver. Come and replace that one hit wonder, Big Ben.

98.       NEWS BREAK : PLUMMER GOES TO RAVENS

99.       First of all - I love Jake & think your site is hilarious. I clicked on the 'Jake Hater' link just out of curiosity & loved the attitude you captured there. We'll see how the 12-year old does as QB...maybe Jake can come back with his pornstache & give everyone the finger again. They deserve it for their traitorous ways. I used to think Denver fans were some of the best in the league. Sad to see things in the state they are now. I live in Houston now (go Kubiak!), but am coming back for the 49ers game 12/31...I'll be the one with '16' painted on my face.

100.     Why are the Jake haters even visiting this website? It makes no sense.

101.      hope some day God gives you light and reason to understand <<<< Plummer Sucks!!!!<<< i´ve been fan since 1982 by the way...

102.     i love plummer

103.    Although I'm a Jay Cutler fan and think he should get his chance now, I have to say that your site is much better than jakethemistake.con or whatever it's called. Your site has much better design, plus it's not devoted to hating someone else. Also, your NoWayElway spoof was much more clever than anything they're capable of coming up with. I bet those same dudes were calling for John Elway's head back in the early 80's and early 90's when he was struggling, even if they do claim to worship him now. That said, I still think CUtler should get his chance; Plummer's not getting any younger or faster.

104.       Whether you like Jake or not (I prefer Jay Cutler, myself), you have to admit that our Broncos would have been a lot worse without him. Remember his first year in Denver, when he was 9-2 as a starter, and the Broncos were 1-4 without him.

105.        Some of you dudes are voting for Jake Plummer more than once. That's not fair!

106.        Plummer isn't so bad...I'm sure you all remember Griese...and personally, I kind of miss Danny Kanell, he was a cool back-up, and one of the only players I've ever heard say "hey, I'm not going to complain at all...playing football is my job". If only more players were like this...

107.    Jake is a good QB with a very bad proclivity to throwing the interception at the the worst possible time. Period. He'll get his shot, and like A-Rod on the Yankees, he'll be great when it doesn't matter and watch the fastball go by him when it does. That is all.

108.     Plummer is the man... That is all to be said... how can u bench a man that has a winning record and has one of the best overall performance wins in the NFL 40-18

109.     Jake is NFL TOTAL EXCITEMENT INCARNATED! Follow Jake to yet another fabulous winning team. Long live Plummer!!

110.      has anyone ever thought, maybe jake wasn't every any good? i have liked denver since about 1982 or so, i did like that denver went and got plummer but look at all his stats over his whole life, he hasn't been good since college and yea maybe it was he sucked cause arizona cardinals sucked, but then look and maybe he has been good the last few years cause denver was a good team? Its time to go with someone else, he is to scared in the pocket, you can't run bootlegs all game long.

111.   I hope Jake is aware if this Jake loving/supporting corner of the web!

Love the site!

112.
Thanks for putting up some good news for Jake Plummer!
Jake is the reason I watch NFL football.
He is and always will be a winner & a Champion.
He will survive this mess.(he's done it before)

What team would be a good fit for Jake??

Keep up the good work!

113.   My theory is, that to have a successful team as well as quarterback, as a coach, you have to play to your quarterback's strengths. Shanahan, along with withering as a coach sans Kubiak, is not doing this. With Jake, it only takes one game for a person to see the kind of quarterback he is. Ever since Cutler came to Denver, Shanahan has been maniacally, yet slowly, working Plummer out so he can get Jay in. I mean look...these short screen passes, shovel passes, lots of handing off to the backs, these ARE NOT Jake's strengths. Just hearing the name "The Snake" immediately paints a picture of awesome scrambles, big bootlegs, and rockets downfield to the wide-outs, THAT is what Jake Plummer does, and you are getting this from an ASU student and long-time Plummer fan. EVEN IF Jake's time was coming to an end in this league, out of pure respect Shanahan owed him a good final season. Which means calling plays that make Jake look good, get him TD's, and send him on a good note. It is!
obvious that Shanahan wanted Jake out and Jay in, but he went about it in a disrespectful and dishonorable way. Every quarterback's dream is to finish their final season on a high, good completions, big TD's. Not only did Shanahan not give Jake this opportunity this season, he made Jake look like a fool and basically ran him out of his position. How can you do that to a QB who stays TOE to TOE with Payton Manning, the "God of football" for four straight quarters? How do you do this to a QB who can light up a receiver that not even the great Brett Favre could? It is crap and Denver shouldn't stand for it. I say, LET JAKE PLAY. Long live the Snake! All out to my former Sun Devil, I'm with you all the way Jake.

114.    Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Hold up. Love the site but we need to stop slamming Jay on it. I am a broncos fan first and foremost and you should follow my lead. As we know some players look better than others in College because they can't fill every position with talent. the only talent Vandy had was Jay. None of jays teamates will start as pros and that says something about Jay. with that said... convert the snake to a wide out and lets keep this lovefest rolling. Go Broncos!

115.     I think putting Jay Cutler in was the right thing to do, since our season's over anyway.  He might as well get the extra practice.  By the way, Joe Montana was benched in 1986 in favor of Steve Young, but was back as the starter for the Super Bowl.

116.  Nobody tried harder than Jake Plummer.  Nobody wanted it more.  No other Bronco that I can remember ever seemed like he could go into a bar and just hang out and be normal like he did.  Since Elway left, nobody became the offensive leader like he did.  Nobody gives him enough credit either.  We knew what we were getting just a few years ago when he first strapped on the Blue & Orange.  We knew he could hurt just as much as help, but we need to remember his highlights, not just when he unraveled at the end of a few of our biggest games over the last 2 years.

Not just his scraggly beard, but 2005 was an unbelievable year for “The Snake”. He started all 16 games, threw 7 picks and 18 TD’s (ran for 2 more) and really lead the team to the AFC Championship.

Remember the 2005 Philly game in the driving rain in Denver? his stats: 22/35 for 309 yards, 4 TD’s, no picks, QB rating of 129.3, or the Pats game in 2005?  Try 17/24 for 262 yds, 2 TD’s, no picks, QB rating of 134.4.

Remember his thread the needle throws to Javon Walker in the NE game in 2006, what about the Steelers game this year.  He looked unstoppable.  His bootleg throws rolling left will always be one of the most exciting parts of any Broncos game.  His scampering, no matter how awkward looking, will be missed too.  Thanks for the heart.

There once was a Q named Jake

At his best on a slick play-fake

Tried with all of his heart

Now his understudy will start

I’d like to take him out for a steakThanks for the memories, 16.  We’ll miss ya man.

117. I'm behind Jake all the way, and I think Shanahan made a huge mistake by starting Cutler.  Jake has given his all to the Broncos, and this is what he gets?  Sure he makes mistakes, he is human after all.  But he has also done great things for the team.  And besides all that.....Cutler isn't nearly as good to look at as Jake!  Jake is HOT!!!!!!

118. i just want to know when 7-4 is such a bad record that you get benched as a QB??!! Jake has been doing his thing and getting it done. He has gotten us a better record than most of the NFC but obviously that doesnt matter. I defend Jake to everyone i know b/c i think he is great. It doesnt surprise me that one of the most tricky plays invovled Jake in our loss to Seattle with the no look toss to Elam. Thanks Jake for giving us some entertainment in that disappointing game.

119. I really tried to think positive and hoped that Cutler would make a good game (although I'm a great Plummer fan). But he didn't! It wasn't just a poor game, it was a terrible game!! I hope Shanahan has realized that it was a mistake and that Plummer is still our QB!!!
Otherwise we can already say goodbye to the play-offs...
Go Broncos and long live Plummer!

120.  i want jake to play he is my man

121. I miss Jake already!! Sunday's are just not the same without him. Jake made watching the Broncos extra special and extra passionate with his heart and his courage and his scrambling and his rollouts...etc. I miss him so much - it's just not right to see him on the sidelines!!! I got to meet him at the FAN FAIR last year and get my pic taken with him. One of the best days of my life! He was great with charity and great as a REBEL QB. He was unconventional in his playing and his character outside of football. You have to love a football millionaire who drives an Element!!!!! And he's such a hottie. The ladies in Denver are sad this week without Jake on our TV's.

122. THANK YOU for setting up this great website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be a frequent visitor.
